CBORD Acquires CaterMate

Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., announced today its acquisition of CaterMate, the catering and banquet sales software company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. CBORD is the world's primary supplier of computer software for foodservice and nutrition management and privilege control.

CaterMate serves the event management, foodservice, and hospitality industries, with thousands of users worldwide. Their recently released, Windows®-based EventMaster package, a tool for event management, purchasing, billing, and reporting, impressed CBORD executives reviewing similar tools currently on the market.

"EventMaster is the best example of event management software we've seen," said Tim Tighe, CBORD vice president. "CaterMate has developed a great product." CBORD now adds EventMaster to its own suite of Windows®-based foodservice management tools -- WinMMS -- which offers multi-unit management of menu planning, purchasing, and inventory. The CBORD product was released earlier this year.

Ron Provus, president of CaterMate, and the entire CaterMate team now join CBORD's professional staff. "Our clients will benefit from the considerable combined skills," Provus said, "in addition to the tightly integrated product line." Tighe echoed Provus's sentiments.
