CBORD UGC 2008 - Presenters' Corner
CBORD would like to thank you for being a presenter at this year’s User Group Conference (UGC) in San Antonio, Texas. Your participation and presence in this year’s conference is continuing our twenty-nine-year tradition of offering our attendees the best CBORD systems education.
This part of our website is just for you! Use it as a resource to find out presenter deadlines, view presentation requirements, request equipment, and so much more!
CBORD & Client Presenters’ Responsibilities
All presenters are responsible for preparations and reporting information related to their conference sessions. These responsibilities include taking a head count when in the session, encouraging attendees to swipe their badges through the card readers, and testing all equipment in the room prior to session start time.
Session PowerPoint Template
As a presenter we recommend you use our UGC ’08 conference PowerPoint template. This template can be accessed here. Please contact Melissa Flood if you have any issues downloading the template or have any questions.
Presentation Editing
We offer editing services for individuals who would like their PowerPoint presentations edited before the conference. CBORD’s in-house editors will only look for grammatical edits and will not change presenters’ content. To receive this service, presentations must be submitted to Melissa Flood no later than September 24, 2008.
Session Evaluations
Presenters will need to allow enough time in their sessions to hand out and collect session evaluations from each session attendee. After the conference, evaluations will be processed and each presenter will be given the results of his or her session. These evaluations are important in helping us determine what our attendees are looking for in session content, etc., for future conferences. Be sure to encourage everyone to take the time to fill these out at the end of your session.
Session Titles and Descriptions
Please provide us with the preferred title for your session, and a description of your presentation in 50 words or fewer. Be sure to include learning objectives and level of difficulty to aid attendees in determining if your session is appropriate based on their experience and background. Session titles and descriptions need to be turned into Melissa Flood no later than May 9, 2008.
Session Handouts
The CBORD Group, Inc., is committed to reducing its environmental and climatic impact. To minimize the amount of paper used in conjunction with the conference, links to session presentations will be provided online one week prior to the start of the conference. We request that you provide us with a copy of your presentation and handouts to be included on our website by September 26, 2008.*
- Please email your presentation to Melissa Flood at mlf@cbord.com.
- If your presentation file is greater than 2 MB, please use our upload site at https://upload.cbord.com/
*You will need to bring your actual presentation with you to the conference on a laptop, disc, or jump drive for use during your session. Previously sent presentations will not be preloaded for your session unless prior arrangements have been made.
Equipment—Getting Your Computers, Hardware, and AV Equipment
Each session room will have the following:
- LCD projector
- Flipchart and markers
- Card reader
- Session-specific evaluation forms
- Session-specific signage
CBORDians are asked to bring their laptops for any session they will be presenting. If you need equipment or have any questions, please contact Melissa Flood at 607.330.3980 or mlf@cbord.com. Any audiovisual equipment requests must be submitted to Melissa Flood by August 20, 2008.
Required Conference Registration and Presenters’ Information
